Submission of a full paper is optional. After the conference, selected authors will be invited to submit their manuscripts for inclusion in the following publications:

  1. Peace and Sustainability is the NERPS’s flagship journal for advancing research and discourse on the nexus between peace and sustainability
  2. An edited volume to be published by Springer Nature as part of the World Sustainability Series (Scopus-indexed)

An organized session proposal must have a title, an abstract of up to 300 words, at least 3 keywords, 1 chair, 1 discussant, and at least 3 presenters. The chair and discussant should share responsibilities if they are also included in the session as individual presenters. In addition to one session abstract, each presenter must submit his/her own abstract of up to 300 words, which must have a title, author(s) name(s), and at least 3 keywords. Each session participant must register separately to be able to attend the conference.

Roundtables are moderated discussions among researchers, students, policymakers, and practitioners. A roundtable proposal must have a title, an abstract of up to 300 words, at least 3 keywords, 1 moderator, and at least 3 speakers. At any rate, each roundtable/panel participant must register separately to be able to attend the conference.

Workshops are sessions for skills-building, networking, project scoping, early-career opportunities, writing, and publishing. A workshop proposal must have a title, an abstract of up to 300 words, at least 3 keywords, and at least 1 chair. Each workshop facilitator must register separately to be able to attend the conference.

Non-presenting participants must register by February 20, 2027, to be able to access Opening Session & Keynote Address, Parallel Sessions, and Closing Ceremony.

The Scientific Committee will select six papers from the submitted full papers for the NERPS Best Paper Awards and six presentations for the NERPS Best Presentation Awards (three awardees in the student category and three in the non-student category).

Two of the NERPS Best Poster Awards (one awardee in the student category and one in the non-student category) will also be selected. The poster presentation guidelines will be added to the NERPS 2027 webpage on PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES after October 20, 2026.

All awards recipients will receive a certificate and gifts, as well as complimentary registration for the next NERPS conference.
