The NERPS 2026 annual conference held at the United Nations University headquarters Tokyo was impressive and highly successful. The organizers, including Hiroshima University and the United Nations University, demonstrated meticulous attention to detail in the agenda design and venue arrangement, as evidenced by the enthusiastic participation. Not only were the two keynote speakers excellent, but their insightful descriptions of the seriousness of global climate issues and the undeniable importance of equity issues provided me with much to reflect upon. Furthermore, the professional knowledge shared by numerous conference paper moderators and presenters was invaluable. The humility and thirst for knowledge of all participants made attending this conference truly worthwhile, and I am especially grateful.
